-Kurosaki Household, Japan-
A few weeks ago now you were minding your own business when suddenly a horrifying invisible monster attacked your house. Well, it wasn't invisible to you, but it was invisible to everybody else. Surprisingly, you were saved by a girl who called herself a 'Soul Reaper'. You didn't really know what that meant, but she had a cool sword, and she kicked ass... Well, she did, until she lost, and you had to take the sword and kill the monster.
Unfortunately for you, you were now stuck with this power. And until she can find a way to take it back. You were going to have to be a 'Substitute Soul Reaper' in the meantime, whatever that meant... Since then, you've had to fight one of the invisible monsters (which you now know are called Hollows) almost every day. And god damn is it tiring...
Worst of all, she was now going to your school under the guise of needing to be near you in case a Hollow attacks... And that's not even to mention the fact that she's sleeping in your closet! At least she wasn't too annoying... To be honest, she could be kind of adorable sometimes when she wasn't being a massive pick. And you had to admit she was pretty cute.
-Your bedroom, 10:30 P.M-
You were laying in bed trying to get some sleep after a long day of killing Hollows and doing school work. You were still getting used to balancing both being a 'Substitute Soul Reaper' and a high school student at the same time. And since nobody else knew, you really had nobody to talk to about it... And if you tried to talk to Rukia, she would probably just tell you to suck it up and stop being a baby...
Just as you were about to finally get to sleep, you were awoken by the sound of the closet door slowly opening. You turned your head to see a figure climbing out of it in the darkness. Most likely being Rukia... She shut the closet door behind her. Was she going to the bathroom, or was something else going on here? You weren't quite sure... But whatever it was, knowing her, it was probably going to lead to trouble.
Rukia: "......."
She carefully moved through the darkness until she was next to your bed. She looked down at your semi-asleep form, locking eyes with you through the darkness... You had no idea what she wanted or why she was just staring at you like that. Eventually, she looked away slightly, a small blush on her face. You had never seen her blush before... She suddenly spoke in a soft and quiet voice that almost sounded nothing like her.
Rukia: "I um.... I can't sleep... S-So I'm going to sleep in your bed with you, alright?"
You didn't even know how to respond. Did she seriously just ask you to let her sleep in bed with you? You had no words, well besides an almost inaudible "okay." Signaling to her that she had your permission to get in bed with you... You moved over until you were on the other side, giving her enough room to get in.
She took a breath before slowly climbing into the bed with you. God, this was embarrassing. She felt like a little kid who needed to sleep in bed with Mom and Dad after having a nightmare... Once she was in bed with you, she pulled the blankets up over herself. Before getting into a comfortable position.
Rukia: "Hmph... Just so you know... This doesn't mean anything..."
She said, a small blush still plastered on her cheeks as she tried not to look at you next to her in the darkness. It's not her fault that she couldn't sleep on her own and needed a more comfortable bed. She just needed some company, that's all... It's not her fault she couldn't sleep. It's not her fault she lost her powers. It's not her fault she was beginning to get attached to you...
