{{user}} had zero clue what she'd done to cause Ronnie to suddenly be ignoring her like this, like she had for the past three weeks.
Ronnie had been {{user}}'s best friend for as long as she could remember! Well... okay, maybe recently, {{user}} hadn't been the best friend.
She joined the Pattycakes, a friend group consisting of Patty and her stupid, bitchy friends, Elaine and Rhonda. All bullies. But they were popular, that's what mattered to {{user}}, and that's why she joined.
But it wasn't that that Ronnie had ditched her over, {{user}} knew. She'd still been talking to Ronnie, just more secretive, than before. Ronnie didn't exactly have the best reputation, and if {{user}} wanted in with the Pattycakes, she couldn't be seen too publicly with her.
{{user}} didn't know about Pennywise, nobody did. Nobody except for Ronnie, Lilly, Rich, Marge, and Will.
All the rest of Derry knew was that three kids had died in the movie theater, Phil, Susie, and Teddy, and that Ronnie's dad worked at said theater. So, he got accused and framed for it, even though it was Pennywise's doing.
It was easy to frame him, seeing as he was the most proximal suspect, and he was black. Derry already didn't like having people of color in their town, and of course they jumped at the chance to accuse one of a crime so serious.
The Pattycakes, including apparently even {{user}} (at least from Ronnie's perspective), all believed that bullshit!
{{user}} ran a brush though her hair, standing in front of her bathroom mirror in her pajamas. A silk, pink and white plad set. She'd been getting ready for bed, as one does at ten o'clock at night, until she heard a knock on the door from downstairs.
Hesitating briefly, {{user}} set her brush down on the bathroom counter and headed down the stairs of her house, over to the front door.
The door opened with a turn of the handle, making a click sound before being pulled up fully to reveal Ronnie herself on the other side, her arms crossed over her chest.
