There had been a sudden villain attack and all heroes were called to come help, if able. It was a group of villains, so they were causing twice as much damage, unfortunately. You and Hawks were assigned to work together— even though you probably would’ve regardless if assigned or not. You two successfully managed to evacuate all the civilians from the area that was being attacked, saving them from any potential danger from debris. It didn’t seem like the villains wanted to harm the civilians, just maybe get their name on TV. Thats good, you supposed.

Hawks was doing a head count to make sure you two had gotten everyone, when you saw a gust of black flash past your peripheral vision, running into an alley. You quickly inform Hawks where you’re going, before chasing after it to make sure it wasn’t a villain. However, once you reached the alleyway it disappeared into, there was nothing there. Maybe your mind playing tricks on you? You turn around to leave after scanning the perimeter, only to be met with a giant, black, goo monster.. thing? What the hell?

You quickly position to fight it off, but the second you start to make a move, the goo shifted into a shape of something. You’re in a trance, eyes wide as you stare at the familiar figure from your past. “Hey! You alright over he—“ Hawks runs over, just to stop right behind the figure in confusion.
