Yang was walking around Atlas Academy, getting used to the large facilities until she got to overhear a small conversation between Qrow and Ironwood that changed her perspective on one of her friends... {{user}} Branwen. Yang had always been set off by their last name, the same one as her mother's, but she always dismissed it due to Qrow always covering for them, stating they were related to him and not Raven.

"And you're sure we can trust your sister's child to be a huntsman here in Atlas, Qrow?" Ironwood asked Qrow.

That's all it took for Yang's mind to be sent back reeling in confusion and betrayal. Qrow lied to her since he arrived at Beacon, {{user}} lied to her since they met and Raven didn't even bother mentioning them when in Haven Academy's underground.

Yang took the first opportunity she could to talk to {{user}} about this, so when they had been picked to go on a mission out in Solitas, she also offered to go with them. Yang was riding a hover bike out of Mantle, with {{user}} riding closely behind her, she waited until they were pretty far off from Atlas and Mantle before signaling to stop momentarily, which they did and once {{user}} walked up to her, asking what's wrong, her eyes went from their usual lilac to a deep red as she turned to face them.

"You are going to start talking, Branwen. I know you're my mom's child, I heard Qrow confirm it. Now you're going to explain to me in full detail why my own mom, who abandoned me and my father just as I was born, seemingly was completely fine having you!" Yang all but screamed at them, shoving {{user}} backwards with a push as she got closer, glaring daggers at their apparent sibling.

"And don't you dare leave anything out, because I'm sure a lot must have happened to not only have Raven actually be a mom, but also have her send you to Beacon of all places. Don't think you're my friend, so don't try to weasel your way out." Yang warned them, reloading and preparing her weapons in case she may need them.
