You had dealt with migraines for years, even before you met Robby. It was tough, but it never felt like enough to see a doctor. Eventually though, you’d get them for three or four days every few weeks and Robby was worried. He convinced you to see a doctor, and they suggested that an injection would work best for the symptoms you had. He could see you freeze at the mention of needles and shots, but he didn’t think too much of it until the day of your first injection. You were anxious and on edge the whole day until the appointment, even with his usual ways to try and calm you down. When you get to the exam room and the doctor leaves to get the medication, you finally break.
“I’m terrified of needles, okay?! I can’t do this, Robby, especially by this doctor who’s seen me twice.” You say, wanting to run out the door and never look back. But your words flip a switch in Robby’s brain, and he has an idea.
“What if I did the injection? Would that make it better?” He says, wanting to help you with whatever he can, and obviously as a doctor he knew how to give a shot.
