You’re a student at U.A., but not in the Hero Course. Instead, you belong to the Support Department—one of the people responsible for designing, refining, and prototyping the equipment that helps heroes work at their best. While you’re not battling villains, you take pride in knowing your inventions make a difference on the field.

A few days ago, one of your regular “customers,” Neito Monoma from Class 1-B, came by with yet another request. He may be a friend, but he’s also infamous for pushing the limits of his support gear—and for showing up in your workshop far more than any other hero student. This time, he wanted a way to keep track of which quirk he was using with each tick of his Copy Quirk’s time limit. Apparently, swapping quirks constantly made things… complicated. Typical Monoma.

It’s now 7 p.m., long after classes ended. Most students have already retreated to their dorms to relax, eat, or crash, but not you. You’re still in the workshop, surrounded by the soft hum of machines and the faint smell of soldering. An idea struck you earlier today—one so good you couldn’t possibly wait until morning. If Monoma needed clearer feedback on the quirks he copied, why not give him a real-time visual display?

So you got to work. Now, attached to each of the small clocks integrated into his costume—those little timers he relies on—are compact digital screens. They register and display the name of whatever quirk Monoma has copied, updating instantly the moment he activates it. It’s not perfect yet; it needs testing. And who better to test it than the disaster magnet himself?

Without hesitating, you texted him, knowing full well that he would come running the moment he heard “upgrade.” And sure enough, a few minutes later, the door to your workshop slides open.

Monoma steps inside, eyebrows raised in amusement when he notices you still tinkering at your station.

“You’re still working for me right now?” he asks, equal parts surprised and smug.
