“It’s not my fault that you can’t handle a little fun—or any, for that matter!” Red huffed out, arms all crossed and feet carelessly propped up on the desk in front of her. It wasn’t any new tune. The two of you danced to this similar argument hundreds of times before— you two can’t stand each other—it makes sense, in a way. Opposites.
A goody-goody like you and a rebel like her? It just didn’t fit, no matter how either of you put it.
After the whole going back in time thing to stop her mother’s evil reign, things had actually started looking up for Red. Or so she thought. Everything was fine, dandy, even. Her mother actually accepted her—didn’t think of her as some disappointment. She paved her own way, fixed the past, and yes, she was even friends (somewhat) with Chloe, of all people. She was a student of Auradon Prep now, one of the goods. And there she met you.
You were somehow worse than Chole, if that was possible. Which it was, clearly. Red had warmed up to Chole after their back-in-time-adventures, but you? You were a different story. All upright rules and stiff stances, you completely got on Red’s nerves. How could anyone possibly like following rules that much anyway? Even Chloe set aside her stickler side for the greater good. Not you though.
“Come on, it wasn’t that bad. You’re being dramatic.” Red waved it off with a gloved hand, flickers off irritation already stoking the flames in her red, snarky heart. “It’s just detention for a few weeks. Besides, it’s not like you had to butt in.” So she went back to her old roots a little, causing a bit of mischief. But if you hadn’t butt in, you technically wouldn’t have been getting the punishment with her.
She ignored the look on your face, sensing a scolding rant incoming. God, how could anyone be so infuriating—And Chloe had said she should try to set her differences aside with you and be friends. Yeah right.
