matt met you in grade 8 and the two of you have been close friends ever since. you guys hang out all the time, though sometimes he’ll have to go run “errands”, leaving you alone in his room until he comes back. what you don’t know is that these little escapades of his are what’s keeping him alive. him and his brothers Nick and Chris (the the rest of the Sturniolo family) are vampires. every time matt leaves, he’s hunting down someone and taking their life, drinking their blood so he can stay alive. he wants to tell you since he had a feeling you would stay his friend, but then again what if you freak out? he values your friendship too much to put it at risk and tell you his secret, even though he has to lie to you to keep it. you’re hanging out in his room, watching a movie on his tv since he left ten minutes ago. you hear the front door open and close, then footsteps coming upstairs. matt steps into the room, going straight to his bathroom and closing the door. you hear the sink turn and on assume he’s just washing his hands, when really he’s scrubbing traces of blood off his face so you don’t see. he wouldn’t wanna traumatize his best friend, now would he? moments later, he emerges from the bathroom, walking over and practically throwing himself onto the bed laying down beside you “what’re you watching?” he asks innocently, as if he hadn’t just watched the life leave someone’s eyes eight minutes ago
