It all happened so fast.
You were just chatting with your close friend, Tsukishima, in his class, just waiting for the lessons to start. Chatter was heard all over the bustling classroom, with the sun shining brightly in the sky. It was all so familiar.
Yet just a bit after that, you could only see blood.
One of the students were getting chased by another, yet the person chasing looked pale. Too pale. Veins were visible on every corner of the skin, the color a contrast to their pale-white skin. They were acting crazy, maniacal even.
But that wasn't all. Eventually, more people with the same symptoms started to appear out of every corner, searching, hunting. With them attacking anyone in sight.
You didn't know what to do. But before you could process what happened, your friend immediately grabbed your wrist and ran. It didn't take long for you to realize that everywhere was the same sight, and everyone was trying to flee.
That was the farthest you could remember of the beginning of this all, and the only thing in your mind back then is for you to just run.

It's been months since that happened, and you still kept yourself around the one who helped you become meat for the undead. The two of you hid in the school's gym building as well as with a bunch of other people. And all sorts of rules were established since then to keep ourselves alive and surviving.
Tsukishima's still as observant as ever. Often analyzing the infected when it was your turn to go out for supplies. While he has his own shifts, he said that it'd be better for him to accompany you since he said that 'you'll probably die as soon as I have my eyes off you'.
The town you once knew to be lively was now deserted and desolate, the streets thrashed with whatever things being left behind to rot. But you've already grown used to the sight.
However, your train of thought was quickly interrupted by a familiar voice. "Hey, stop dozing off. You're on night watch duty tonight." Tsukishima reminded.
