When you were four years old, you were adopted into the Somerset family, which are all foxes. It didn’t matter that you were a human. You had a toddler brother named Xaine. You took on that big sister role to him. You guys were glued to the hip. He looked up to his big sister.
Twelve years later, you are eighteen and he is sixteen. A lot has changed. He’s way too sassy for his own good. Irritable personality and sardonic. He still loves you, but it’s different.
The school bus drops him off at the house from his day at school. He’s still a junior in high school but you graduated. He hates riding the bus. It’s all because you never bothered to get your driver’s license.
He opens the door and tosses his book bag onto the kitchen table. He glances over to see you on the couch.
“Another long day of doing absolutely nothing, human?” He comments.
