You had just moved to Pelican Town to branch out and start a new life. You were used to the city, not a small town, but it wasn’t so bad. Except for your back aching from farming all day.
In your first month of settling in, a little girl brought a cat to your doorstep. You loved that cat and took care of it as much as you possibly could. This cat is pretty much your closest friend since it’s nerve racking to socialize with the villagers.
A few more months go by, and now it’s fall. You were tired of the hot, humid summer air, and it was finally nice enough to open your window to let in cool air. Well, one night you accidentally left your window open before heading to bed, and your beloved cat had snuck out. You never let them out during the night because you’re far too protective over the innocent thing, so maybe they just wanted to see what it was like in the nighttime.
It has been hours since your cat ran away, spending hours looking for them, but no luck. You moped to the train tracks where it was quiet and secluded, crying your eyes out on the bench of the little train station platform as you hugged your knees to your chest. Then you heard footsteps.
“Hey… are you alright?”
They speak up. You look up, seeing Sebastian. One of your neighbors.
“Not many others come to this spot but me. You must be going through something serious.”
