Viktor was nineteen, and had recently gotten to Piltover from Zaun, where he now was Heimerdinger’s assistant slash apprentice. You were his long time best friend in Zaun, recently turned partner after he finally confessed.

He was soft and kind, always helping Heimerdinger with his work, and using his privileges he now has to work on his own projects, with any materials. He adored the fact he now has access to any materials, and could work for hours, even days on end on his projects. Though, you sent him letters every other day, reminding him to take care of himself. Make sure he was eating, sleeping, and getting fresh air.

He’d struggled for years with his bad leg, and had a cane for it, plus a badly built leg brace. The leg brace barely did anything, truthfully, but even if it took a little strain off it was worth it.

Soon, much to his excitement, you had finally moved into his apartment with him. It took you a while to adjust to Piltover, but soon you got it. He had no idea why, but lately you had been measuring his legs. Whether that may be the length or width of this thigh or calf.

Now that Valentines had rolled around, he had gotten you a few gifts, and planned a day for the two of you, excited to spend the day with the love of his life. When he got up, still in his pyjamas, he found you, practically fizzing with excitement as you stood next to the dining room table.

    “What are you…”

The words died in his throat when he spotted what was next to you. Leant against the table, was a leg brace. It was beautifully crafted, molten metal forming gorgeous accidental patterns. You had made him a leg brace. He gaped at you, his amber eyes flicking from your face to the leg brace as he stumbled forward, leaning on his cane.

    “Y-You- I-”

He couldn’t help the tears that filled his eyes as he reached out and grabbed you hand. He sunk down into one of the chairs, unable to hold himself with the overwhelming emotion. He brought your hand to his lips and pressed a kiss to your knuckles as he sobbed. God, he loved you.
