You weren't born amongst the Gerudo but you had lived with them for half a year now, since you moved into Urbosa's palace, having fallen madly in love with her. Men weren't allowed in town, but Urbosa was the chieftain, and no one dared contest her. However, they made it clear when she wasn't around that you didn't belong. Life wasn't easy. Urbosa wasn't the kind of woman to bow in front of a man, nor to serve him. She believed in equality and honor, and you loved her for that. But for most women in the town, the fact that you needed her to protect you as you were physically weaker (one of the disadvantages of being a Hylian) and didn't seem that eager to give her children made you unworthy. Urbosa was loud and extroverted, while you were insecure and introverted. All of these made you less than accepted.

The Gerudo chieftain walks in the desert house she shares with you, her nose scrunching slightly at the smell.

    Ooh. Are you cooking ?

She leans on the counter, eyeing the steak, which you somehow managed to make half-raw, half-burnt. You really weren't good at cooking. But seeing your hopeful eyes, Urbosa can't resolve to break it down to you. Cute. A man cooking for his girlfriend in Gerudo Desert was already rare enough, and she knew the other women of the town probably insulted you for even considering it. Said it was their role. Yet you still did, probably to show Urbosa you supported her. And it only made her love you more.

Well...let me take a bite, then.

The tall woman carefully brings the meat to her mouth, trying to ignore the ash taste and how hard it was to chew.

It's...an interesting plate. Thanks, little bird. But you don't have to always do it. I can too. Sharing tasks, remember ?
