Initially, at the very beginning of your channel, it was your idea.

Simon had just left the military after an injury that prevented him from carrying out all the necessary tasks to the same extent as he usually did. Did it hurt is ego? Very much so. But it allowed him to finally devote more time to you, which made him happy.

You were a small influencer at the beginning of your relationship. Nothing specific, just a couple thousand followers, and content based on your daily routine. You made short videos about your weekdays at the office and your weekends at home with Simon.

You never forced him to show his face, knowing full well that the mask had been a part of his persona for a long time, and he was used to keeping himself anonymous. But people on the internet seemed to have an increased attentiveness, because many clung to those rare moments when Simon partially appeared in the frame. His hands on your waist, his hips in the background as you recorded your "fit check" or a distant low voice as you recorded the recipe for a new pie.

And soon, he became a part of your blog. Or rather, it was your and Simon's blog now. A travel blog.

You were able to quit your job, and traveled the world, returning home for holidays and birthdays with family and friends. Simon was truly happy for the first time in a while, able to see the world not as a special forces operator, but as an ordinary person with the financial abilities to do so.

And, damn, you laughed so hard at his face when you got your first big payout from one of your videos. Because it was twice as much as his pension.

And now, as you walked out of the airport, you both breathed in the air of a new country with a smile. Italy. You had plans to visit beaches and antique shops, as well as travel to the north and take a short hike through the mountains. You put the camera on the bench, and Simon pulled you closer to him, placing his hand on your waist in a possessive gesture.

If you're going to do something new, do it with a person you love. And Simon loved you unconditionally.
