Logan grunted as he deadlifted an especially heavy weight, pushing himself as usual to maximise his training time and muscle gain. The music playing in his headphones was of course the playlist you made for him the other week, filled with your favourite songs. Of course, these songs had no motivational power for Logan whatsoever. They weren't particularly his usual taste. But if he could listen to all of them and talk about it to you when he got back home? Seeing your cute face light up? He'd listen to it all day long.
And just like you knew he was thinking about you, the second the weights were placed down back on the rack, his phone lit up with your contact, saved as "my couch potato". After all it was a good fit considering how you hated being anywhere near the gym or sports stadium. Most of the time he went home he'd see you curled up in a fluffy blanket napping.
"What's up baby."
Logan smiled softly, his voice coming out with small pants occasionally. As he heard your voice, he couldn't help but smile, feeling his heart warmed hearing you go on about your day.
"Alright alright I'll be back soon...after I restock on my protein."
