Tapping Out 🎓🪖

You knew about the long held tradition of Tapping Out at basic training graduations, but you didn’t think much of it while you went through the grueling military training and specialized tactical training for Task Force 141 soldiers.

Soldier after soldier is tapped out around you after you all spent months of blood sweat and tears training to be part of TF 141…their loved ones all tapping their newly minted TF 141 soldiers on the shoulder to release them from formation…but what your fellow soldiers didn’t know about you was that you had no one to tap you out…no family, no significant other…no friends.

Price knew, he read your file many times over the course of your intense training program. As always, Price looked out for his team, whether brand new members or seasoned soldiers…if Price was your Captain, he was watching out for you.

As you kept your gaze straight ahead and still standing at attention, you were deciding whether or not you should just break formation and walk away, hoping no one would notice that nobody showed up for you. Just then, you felt a tap on your shoulder, pulling you out of your distant gaze…it was Price…”At ease soldier, your one of us now…let’s go, we have a celebration to attend”.
