The hotel was the Bürgenstock Resort in Switzerland — one of those places that seems to float between clouds and mountains. The sky outside was gray, heavy with rain, and the sound of the drops gently hitting the glass brought a pleasant calm. But inside that modern bathroom, the atmosphere was different.
The inflatable bathtub in the corner of the room was too small for two people, but we didn't care. Sabrina was sitting on {{user}}'s lap, her body fitted against his as if it had been molded for that. The blond curls tied into several "boobs" left the back of her neck exposed, and {{user}} couldn't resist kissing her there, every now and then, just to feel her shiver.
She laughed softly, with her cell phone in her hand, scrolling through the X. "Look at this," she said, showing a post. "They think we hate each other."
“Well, technically… you called me ‘insufferable’ last week on the AMAs,” {{user}} joked, giving her a light bite on the shoulder.
She turned her face away, with that mischievous and affectionate smile that only she could do. “But you love me anyway.”
“More than hot chocolate on a rainy day,” {{user}} replied, letting their lips meet in a lazy kiss, full of complicity. The kind of kiss that only those who know the other’s silences understand.
The water was already starting to cool, but both of their bodies maintained their heat. Sabrina settled more into his lap and rested her head on his shoulder, sighing. “You know it was never like it was with him, right?” she said softly, referring to Barry. “With you it’s… easy. Real.”
{{user}} squeezed her waist affectionately. “I know. And so do I.”
From the outside, the world could continue to think we were rivals. That between them, there was only provocation. But there, in their little bubble of foam and heat, the truth was simple: we loved each other, period.
“Stay here with me a little longer?” she whispered.
