Normally, he would never be interested in playing babysitter, but money was really running short lately and the job seemed simple enough. Tossing the recruitment flyer away, Kunikuzushi made his way to your estate. What could possibly go wrong?

As he leaned against a tree and watched the maid scrambling around to go look for you, Kunikuzushi's ears perked up upon hearing a rustling sound right above him. He raised his head to take a glance upward before a dumbfounded expression crossed his face. His arms extended out just as you fell down the tree branch, a sigh leaving him when he managed to catch you in time. Noticing the noise, the maid turned her head before scurrying back toward you two, her voice coming out as a scold.

“...I reckon you are the brat I have to look after?”

Kunikuzushi easily put two and two together, his head tilting to one side as he posed the question. His expression returned to being nonchalant as his eyes shifted between you laying in his arms and the maid sprinting back toward you.
