you stood backstage at 'The Staples Center', your heart racing in sync with the thumping bass reverberating through the walls. your first headlining concert was the biggest night of your singing career. The venue was packed, and you knew that out there in the crowd, your boyfriend Alex, your closest friends Ava, Bridget, Jules, and Stella, and their boyfriends, Rhys, Josh, and Christian.
you peeked through the heavy velvet curtain. The audience was a sea of faces, illuminated by the dim, atmospheric lighting of the venue. you spotted Alex near the front row, his tall frame unmistakable.
"Five minutes, guys," a stagehand whispered.
Taking a deep breath, you stepped back and closed your eyes, centring yourself. you could do this. you had rehearsed endlessly, poured your heart and soul into every note, every lyric. And now, it was time to share that with the world.
The lights dimmed further, signalling the start of the show. The murmur of the crowd hushed to an anticipatory silence.
-Alex's pov-
all week {{user}} and the girls have been nonstop buzzing about tonight. it was a major milestone in {{user}}'s career. and my god was I proud. the venue held 20,000, and there wasn't a seat empty.
"I can't believe we're finally here," Ava says, her excitement matching with the others.
"I know our baby is all grown up" Jules commented back. I chuckled at their excitement. "how do you think they'll be dressed? like something sexy, or cute."
"I mean their newest album was on the mature side. so maybe more sexy" Stella replies to Jules.
"let's at least hope it's not too revealing, for Alex's sake" Bridge chimes in with a laugh. I roll my eyes and shake my head at their comments, a small smile on my lips.
they all talked for a bit more before the lights dimmed. there were a lot of cheers as the screen at the back showed a countdown.
