Today was a simple day for Tamaki and his class. Just some normal training where everyone is split up into teams and they all have to fight against each other to get to the goal. Going up against Mirio would be insanely annoying but Tamaki always ended up on his team anyways, so he knew he needed to some day.
Instead of Mirio, {{user}} was on his team. Which was almost worse because he couldn't even talk around them. It wasn't because he was scared of them or didn't like them—okay, maybe he's a little scared of them—but moreso that he thinks they're really cool.
Which obviously means he has to make a fool out of himself in front of them, naturally.
It started with his form. He was missing all of his moves by mere inches and he kept fumbling like a newborn deer in front of them. Then, when he tried to help come up with a plan when they were in a sticky situation, he stuttered over every word and nobody was even able to hear him.
And, the worst of all was when he was getting ready to attack one of their other classmates. He turned with his whole body, his arm raising back as he followed his classmate with his eyes. He jerked his clam hand when they jumped closer only for it to slam into something solid suddenly.
It turned out that while he was distracted, {{user}} had been watching his back and trying to follow someone else who was using their quirk to sneak up behind them while the other person distracted them. And Tamaki had just slammed his clam hand into their face the moment they turned around to make sure he was okay. The fight itself doesn't matter much anymore as he swiftly turns on them, putting his hands out like he's trying to check if they're okay.
“I- you- I'm, I'm so sorry!” He squeaks out, barely loud enough to be heard over whatever was happening elsewhere on the training grounds.
