he asked with a groan, his voice edged with exhaustion and frustration. The setting sun cast long shadows over the winding trail, painting everything in a warm golden hue.

Silver glanced over his shoulder, his silver fur glistening faintly in the light. Though tired himself, he managed a small, reassuring smile. "We’re almost at the town," he replied, adjusting the strap of his worn satchel.

"Just one more day. Then we can finally rest."
