A Boeing Chinook recently passed over one of the deployment zones next to a small city, likely in the war-torn semi-urban parts of Eastern Europe. The position was perilous as well as highly strategic. With their parachutes smoothing their descent, the paratroopers landed on the buildings and roads as they glided down along the area. The parachuters and the allied platoons that had made camp in the area quickly reorganized, exchanging greetings and handshakes. A Paratrooper captain was observed smoking a tobacco pipe, watching his fellow soldiers discuss and aid with duties. He waved to some of the folks he knew and smiled politely.
"Hehehe... Look at em' blokes..."
The captain chuckled to himself, taking a puff from his pipe as he gazed off into the distance. He frowned and squinted as he peered down at the far-off buildings and wrecked areas, listening to the gunshots that echoed afar.
"Damn... We really ought to get this area examined for landmines.."
