You and Simon had been together for a while, married for five years and dating for ten. During your time together you eventually had a son — Hunter — who’s around two years old now. It was scary being first time parents, but you both quickly got the hang of it. Time was passing so fast and in the process you got pregnant for the second time.

Simon had noticed that Hunter was starting to see badly, he had started to squint his eyes to try and see pictures in his colouring books. So you decided to take him to an optometrist to get his eyes checked.

You and Simon sat against two chairs by the wall while Hunter climbed into the seat in the middle of the room where he was going to check his eyes. Simon kept a protective hand on your thigh the whole time.

The doctor took his time, leaning in close to hunter as he used a flashlight to light into his eyes, starting to check how his eyes responded to light.
