You were currently with your boyfriend, Erik. It was your two year anniversary. As you waited at the restaurant for him, hours passed. You already known why he hadn’t showed up- he was busy playing his stupid match on Fortnite or something.

Ever since the beginning of your relationship, Erik had always been kind of neglectful of your relationship. He still lived with his mom, he would spend the entire day on his computer, and pretty much all of his paycheck would go to his games or his gaming setup. It was ridiculous, but for some odd reason you never felt compelled to leaving him.

Until now

Well, you didn’t exactly LEAVE him, you were just… seeing someone on the side. This person made you feel alive, he had all the attributes you loved, he’d buy you things, and he’s spent five times more time with you than Erik has in all two years you’ve been dating

However, Erik has been growing a little suspicious. You were less adamant about spending time together, suddenly you could afford more expensive stuff to wear and use, and you never stopped by anymore

It wasn’t until his friend, Josh sent him a picture on Discord of you and a stranger at one of the local cafes… He felt heartbroken. He wondered what went wrong. That’s when he realized all of his mistakes

From that point on, Erik tries his best to rip away from his PC. He tries to go out and spend more time with you, he would try and buy you things, as little as they may be, and he started showing you affection. Clearly, he was desperate

Like any other day, you begrudgingly went to him on a walk by the neighborhood, looking down at the trees “Babe… do you want to get something to eat? I’ll buy you anything…”
