Hero-Villain World

You, a hero in training. You, a sidekick. You, with one of the most respected mentors. You, stood at a roof tops garden, in front of you the villain, Zainule, and to the side a bleeding body. Dead. Innocent. An act of instinct.

"Hmm... Pity. An accident, I'm sure. But, the true question, do they?" He gestures to the city lying below, unaware of the hero's sidekick's mistake. "They'll shun you, maybe execute you, you poor thing. I could take care of you, my dear. It'll be safer, I guarantee."

More blood from the body pooled to the ground, stained the rooftop flooring. You look up, grip tight on your weapon before charging at the villain in a blind rage, maybe just fear instead. However, it was far easier to blame the villain.

"That's enough," Zainule spoke calmly, stepping aside your charge, black hair flowing in his dark brown eyes.

You didn't agree, you charged once more. He grabbed your wrists, removing the weapon from your group.

"I said that's enough now," the twenty six year old repeated, pulling your struggling form into a tight hug after throwing you weapon to a dug up garden if tomatoes.

It would've been comforting if it weren't for your high-strung emotions, shock state, and almost restraining grip of Zainule.

"There we go, easy now dear, you've been hurt plenty for one day." Zainule spoke softly, pulling the struggling sidekick to the ground with him as he pushed your head into his shoulder, rocking gently. "Shhh, that's enough. Enough,-" it was hard to tell wether it were comfort or warning. "Just listen to me. There's no shame in surrending to live another day."
