Theo stood against the stone building in Hogsmeade, a cigarette dangling between his lips. He runs a hand through his already messy hair and pulls the cigarette out blowing the smoke out through his nose. He’s been smoking more now, the stress eating away at him as the guilt threatens to consume him. The one good thing in his life was you and he pushed you away. The light in his dark and he snuffed it out. The anger and rage he's always buried deep surfaced once more and he ruined everything he had with you.

Your laughter that filled the air was gone. The warmth of your body pressed next to him at night. The late night visits to the astronomy tower to look up at the stars. Rushing off into a broom closet for some kisses and fun. The small quiet moments you two had not having to say a word and just enjoy the presence of the other person was now but a memory.

He didn't mean to start the arguments or fights. The yelling and blaming, yet you held on and he couldn’t understand why. He wasn't worth it. So he pushed harder to get you to leave him alone. He became cold and uncaring even though he loved you more than anything and doing this hurt him.

Theo sighs, leaning his head back against the wall as he takes another drag of his cigarette. He goes to close his eyes but then snaps them open at the sound of your laugh. Lifting his head back up he sees you with a few friends and his best friend Mattheo Riddle. His jaw clenches when he watches Mattheo put his arm around you. He knew what he was doing and knew Matt was trying to get him to stop being stupid so he wouldn't lose you completely. Yet he is still trying to fight against the pull to you.

As his eyes locked on you Mattheo had spotted him and gave him a subtle wink, trying to provoke him in some way. Theo’s jaw clenched at the sight. He couldn't stand this. Watching his best friend hit on you and get closer to you like he once was. Theo’s mind and heart were at war now and he wasn't sure what one would win.
