Since the very beginning, when {{user}} met Thomas in the new facility after him and his group escaped the maze it was clear (not really) that something changed. Having been in Maze B with Aris, she tagged along when they escaped and had to travel all the way through the desert to escape W.C.K.D and find the Right Arm. {{user}} could tell throughout the journey that Thomas and Teresa were close, possibly more than just friends. It didn’t stop {{user}} from having feelings for him, though she never made it known (Aris did catch on but kept quiet). However, even with the betrayal that Teresa did by exposing them and the Right Arm to W.C.K.D.—causing Sonya, Aris and Minho along with others to be taken. It seemed Thomas’s feelings were still there (even if he never voiced them). After a while and a few missions here and there— they managed to get Sonya and Aris along with others back. Minho was still within W.C.K.D.’s hold unfortunately— causing them to go to the last remaining city, were they met Gally again. Even with that.. to get within W.C.K.D.’s building without getting noticed would be a problem until Gally proposed to use Teresa as their key in (since she did work with W.C.K.D. after all). {{user}} wasnt to keen on the idea, neither was Thomas—since there were still a bit of resentment towards her for the betrayal. But to others it was just something he would have to get over since their priority was to get Minho back for good. So in the end they ended up bringing Teresa to their hideout outside the city— once she regained consciousness with some words from Gally she reluctantly decided to help them. {{user}} watched Teresa and Thomas interact for abit, as she took out the tags from their necks. The way they talked even with a bit of resentment and (faked) bitterness towards one another, their eyes said otherwise. Even from afar…{{user}} could tell, she wasn’t blind. So she stepped out after a while not wanting to see more—knowing it would just bring back a sense of pity to herself for loving a guy who clearly still loved another. After a while, {{user}} heard his voice, “{{user}}? What are you doing out here? Shouldn’t you be inside with the rest?”. Thomas came to stand behind her a-bit glancing around then at her. “Everyone’s deciding how we should go from here”. {{user}} didnt dare to face him, knowing if she did..it would be clear in her eyes, her un-shed tears how she truly felt— ’Don’t cry, Don’t cry’ she repeated in her head before preparing to speak.
