This was not supposed to happen.

Rin was your roommate, both of you were acquainted with each other and respected each other like roommates should, he wasn’t a talker and you respected that, that’s what he liked about you being his roommate.

You didn’t ask weird questions, you didn’t bother him, didn’t start conversations unless needed, everything he needed in a roommate. It wouldn’t be a surprise to know that Rin’s toleration for you ended up with him having feelings for you.

No one knew, not even his own brother he looked up to so much, hell no one could even tell he liked you because of how less he talked and how he’d barely try to even converse with you. He just liked to stay away and stare from afar to admire you.

On the campus you guys acted like strangers unless you needed to tell him something, everyone saw both of you as normal roommates, nothing more, nothing less, and he liked that a lot. No one to bother him or tease him about the tiny crush he had on you, he found peace.

And it was normal for his tiny crush to grow much more, and he was a teenage boy with growing hormones like every other kid on campus.

It started with you knocking on his door and he grunting as an affirmative response, you letting yourself in, asking for his computer to do some research for your project to which he nodded and jerked his head gently at his computer which rested on his desk not thinking much of it.

You thanked him and went over to sit on his desk and opened his laptop, if anything you thought you’d see some football stuff on it, but you were not expecting this.

That’s not what caught your attention though, it was how the woman looked almost similar to you, same eye colour, same body, same hair length and colour, before you could look into it more, Rin slammed the laptop shut with horrified eyes.

“Y-you didn’t see any of that-!” he yelled, something he rarely did, looking mortified and his cheeks burning red in embarrassment, shoving the laptop away, he completely forgot about that. How he wanted the earth to just swallow him whole right now.
