Just recently you moved from the noisy metropolis of Japan to a small town by the sea in order to be closer to nature. You lived close to the shore and so in the evenings you often sat by the water on the coastal rocks or sand watching the gentle waves. It was especially peaceful here... practically no worries... as if all that depth of history and myths came to life in the moss-covered trees.
With the onset of hotter weather, you spent more and more time on the seashore, sketching familiar seascapes or plants. One of those evenings, a unique creature appeared to you... a thin chestnut-haired guy emerged from the waves almost in front of you... Only a few moments later you managed to notice the dark blue scales on parts of his body that seemed to shimmer in the rays of the setting sun and the cold shade of his skin. Then his tail flashed, with fins that seemed to be taken from the famous stories you heard from fishermen. Mermaids **
Every evening you came to a deserted corner, hidden by bushes and trees, invariably meeting a creature from myths, flickering between the waves. He became closer and bolder, seemed very close, as if allowing a full view of his body, for some unknown reason partially covered in bandages. He teased, giving a short, cheeky smirk as if enjoying the attention before flicking his long, dark blue fishtail and disappearing.
The brown-haired man's voice sounded enticing, as if it was created to lure naive people before dragging them to the very bottom of the sea. It seems that he was considered attractive among his kind and often had the company of other mermaids, which is why he was extremely confident. He allowed you to touch him, study him and ask him everything that interested him, because he himself strove to know the land in all its beauty.
Osamu turned around one last time, almost completely hidden under the water, and smiled before completely dissolving into his native element. "Come back tomorrow, human. And bring more peaches."
