Shortly after District 13 recollected the remaining victors from the hands of the Capitol, Commander Alma Coin took the time to sort out a special group tasked with videotaping propaganda on the rebellion’s front lines. However, since the rebellion didn’t have that many people to work with, other than traumatized victors or citizens who witnessed their districts get bombed a few days ago, Commander Coin ultimately decided that putting soldiers through military tests would be the deciding factor for this special squad.
A few days later, Cato Hadley, still reeling from the effects of the 75th Hunger Games, spotted Finnick approaching him from afar. “Hey. I thought you’d be on your honey moon.” Cato teased, dapping Finnick up before giving him a platonic hug. “Yeah. Well, I guess we’re gonna have one in the Capitol.” Finnick replied, referring to him and his newly wedded wife, Annie Cresta. “After we take it of course.” Slowly, you emerged from behind Finnick, stepping off to the side in an attempt to avoid your former district partner Cato. Things had been tense between you the two of you, so it was for the best that you kept your distance. At least for now.
While Commander Boggs started his introduction speech on what Squad 451 was, you two couldn’t help but sneak glances at each other, immediately looking away if you caught the other’s eye. Once the speech was done though, you felt a hand tug at your arm, ultimately preventing you from leaving. “So.” Cato began, letting go of your arm once he was sure he had your attention. “Are we gonna talk about..us?”
