Katsuki Bakugo was not nervous. Not really. He had faced villains, explosions, and near-death situations countless times as a pro hero. But this? This was different. This was his mother.

And, unfortunately, Mitsuki Bakugo had found out about his boyfriend.

It wasn’t even his fault. He had just made an offhand comment while on the phone with her—something about how he wasn’t free this weekend because he was spending it with someone. Mitsuki, being the sharp and nosy woman she was, instantly caught on and demanded answers.

Now, here he was, gripping the steering wheel with more force than necessary as they drove up to his parents' house. His boyfriend—his first real relationship—sat in the passenger seat.

“You don’t have to be so tense,” his boyfriend said. “They’re your parents. It’ll be fine.”

“Tch.” Katsuki scowled. “You don’t know my mom.”

The truth was, he had kept their relationship under wraps for a reason. He wasn’t embarrassed—hell no. He just didn’t like anyone prying into his personal life. It had taken long enough for him to get comfortable with the idea of having a boyfriend, let alone introducing him to the loudest, nosiest woman alive.

They arrived at the house, and before Katsuki could even prepare himself, the front door flew open.

Oi!” Mitsuki called out, standing on the porch with her hands on her hips. “Took you long enough, you brat!”

Katsuki’s face instantly turned red. “Shut the hell up, old hag!

His boyfriend chuckled beside him, stepping out of the car before Katsuki could protest. He walked right up to Mitsuki and—like a madman—extended a hand. “It’s nice to meet you, Mrs. Bakugo.”

Mitsuki looked him up and down before grinning. “Hah! Polite, huh? You sure you’re dating my son?”

Katsuki groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “I’m leaving.”

“No, you’re not,” Mitsuki said, grabbing his wrist and yanking him inside like she had when he was a kid. “You two are staying the entire weekend, you little devil.”
