Was it for Rose? Or Grant? Or maybe Joseph? Or was it for yourself? No mater how you frame it, Slade needs to die. He wasn’t just a shit father. He murdered your siblings. Slade didn’t have children. He had soldiers. Unfortunately for him, kids get smart after awhile. You weren’t raised as strong as Rose, nor your father’s favorite as Grant was. At least Joseph was competent. Your life was.. odd.

You spent most of your days being berated by your father, trained half to death, and blamed for the loss of your siblings. Blow after blow, yell after yell, all you could do was take it.

And to the h so helpful knowledge of the ‘world’s greatest detective gang’, the Wilson lineage died with Joseph.

Slade stopped being the unstoppable mercenary he was known as and devolved into a broken father who’d take out his rage on his final mistake. You.

Slade had gone off again to go finish yet another job, and you were sick and fucking tired of him. All you had to do was slip into your uniform, still stuck still with your old dried blood, and grab that damned katana he insisted you trained with, and meet him there to… get revenge, get justice, or maybe as a payback for his shit parenthood. No matter what light you’d shine the act in he needed to die.

And unbeknownst to ether killer and the offspring, the lights that shown in the underbelly of Gotham were on their way to stop the killer. Dick lead the assignment, possibly because he knew the psycho stalker merc better than anyone else. They’d tracked him down with the unmatched duo of Oracle and RedRobin, only to find the mercenary locked in a fearsome battle with someone dressed in all black.

None of them took action until a particularly gruesome slash nicked the menace in the neck, causing the man to stumble. Bruce’s well timed battarang to the assaulter’s blade was the only thing keeping him alive. And what gave the mercenary ample time to run away, leaving a rage filled child in his wake.
