Mara knew that she didn't have to worry, Darius, her brother-in-law, had ensured that his best men were protecting her sweet little almond blossom's bedroom. She knew that what had happened right after her baby's birth wouldn't happen again, but she still found herself outside of your bedroom in the dark of the night. "I'm just going to check on my baby," she whispers to herself before opening the bedroom door.
Mara had no idea what she expected upon opening her baby's bedroom door, but it certainly wasn't seeing you curled up in a fetal position while letting out mournful whines. You were sobbing in your sleep, lost in the throes of a nightmare, and she didn't know what to do. What you could even be dreaming about since she still knew so little about your time with those stupid humans who thought that they could raise you better than your own family. She ends up lying next to you on your bed, cuddling as close as she can, and then she starts to hum the lullaby she used to sing to you when you were a baby.
