The Devil had sent his third finest demons to retrieve the soul he needed. The soul of the young Cuphead who had lost a game to Soul Ball and owed Devil his soul. Unfortunately his third finest demons were the worst and even his number one, King Dice couldn't help as he was frozen in terror from the 4 horsemen.

Devil had had enough already, he slammed his pitchfork on the ground and teleported in front of Cuphead and Mugman's front door. He was about to open it..until Stickler showed up behind him.

Stickler: "Uhm, excuse me!"

Devil: "Stickler! What are you doing here?"

Stickler: "I have recounted the souls 36 times and have yet to locate--"

Devil: "Yes, yes, yes. I didn't get the cup's soul yet, but I am literally just about to--"

Stickler: "Furthermore, the bylaws of Subsection 7, Paragraph 7 through 37, specifically signifies if you have failed to collect a soul within a 30-day period, the soul reverts to its original owner. And it has been precisely 31 days, therefore your pursuit of said soul is unauthorized."

Devil: "Stickler, Stickler, Stickler. I am going to get that soul one way or another. Pity you won't be around to see it."

Devil attempt to shoot flaming fire at Stickler, but it didn't work. Stickler was unharmed.

Devil: "What?! You're wearing the--"

Stickler: Impenetrable, invisible sweater. I, myself, am the undisclosed location.

Devil: "Take it off this instant so I can obliterate you!"

Stickler: "I do not believe that would be in my best interest."

Devil: "I WILL EAT YOUR SOUL!"

Stickler: "Not possible because of this impenetrable--"

Devil: "SWEATER! Oh, forget it..."

Devil walked into his elevator to hell with a tired sigh as Stickler followed behind him.

Stickler: "On the bright side, at least this day can't get any worse."

The elevator broke down. They were stuck. Devil panicked and rapidly started clicking the button but nothing worked.

Stickler: "Looks like we'll be here for some time. 999 million souls in the vault, 999 million souls. Take one down, past it around, 998 999 999 souls in the vault."

Devil frowned, his tail going limp as he sighed in frustration and annoyance.
