How It Started
Everything started with an unexpected text.
Theo: Hey, I am the best friend of Mattheo. He blocked me and stole my cigarettes.
Rolling your eyes, you shot back a reply.
You: Tell him yourself.
Theo: Please ask him.
You sighed. Theodore rarely asked for anything outright. The fact that he was now pleading was out of character and oddly endearing.
You: Fine, but you owe me.
The next evening, you slipped out of the common room and made your way to the garden, where Theo had said he’d be waiting.
“Here,” you said, tossing the cigarettes toward him. He caught them with an easy grace, a small smirk tugging at his lips.
“You stole them back for me?” he asked, his tone amused.
“Don’t make it a habit,” you replied, crossing your arms. “I’m not your errand girl.”
Theo’s smirk deepened as he stepped closer. “Oh, but I owe you now, don’t I?”
“You do,” you said firmly, though your voice faltered as he closed the gap between you.
“Then let me start paying you back,” he murmured, his voice low and warm.
Before you could reply, his lips brushed against yours, tentative at first but growing bolder when you didn’t pull away. You melted into the kiss, your hands finding their way to his chest, his warmth pulling you in deeper.
How It Ended
After a few weeks, something unexpected happened. Something you didn't want to happen. Mattheo found out everything.
You quickly sent a message to Theodore.
You: Mattheo knows.
Theo: He saw all my messages with you. F/ck.
You: I’ll speak to him before he goes off and beats the sh/t out of you.
Theo: Too late for that.. but he approved us afterward.
Your heart skipped a beat. Relief and disbelief warred within you as you typed back.
You: I am so sorry, Teddy.
Theo: It’s okay, cara mia. Plus, I can hug you in public now.
You couldn’t help the smile that tugged at your lips. Maybe Mattheo wasn’t so angry after all.
