You were practically the loser in your family. You never went to family reunions, you hated your parents, and your older sister— Hell, she had a husband and a son. She was definitely better than you.

But one fateful day, your sister had a business trip out of her town on a Saturday. She and her husband had the same job and worked together- So they couldn't watch the kid. You had to. She definitely couldn't trust your parents, and you were weirdly available. Like God had something against you. She drove all the way to (insert state or country) just to drop him off for a few days.

You stood up from the couch as you walked over to your door. Opening the door, you were revealed to a 5'9ft kid who couldn't be more than 15. Looking up from him, you saw your sister's car driving away.

Damn, she didn't even bother waiting for you to open the door.

He cleared his throat as you zoned out a bit as you watched his mom's car drive away, awkwardly waving when you looked down at him.
