Jared and you became friends when you he had first moved to the town, both of you had met during mr Bruners therapy session.

though that was only a month a go, because both of you had nobody really to stick too somehow you guys found yourselves always together.

both of you were too afraid to admit you liked eachother, though your friends- and now his, Emiko and Hatcher- who were definitely the duo in the trio, often teased the two on it.

hell, even Jared’s own brother Simon did too though not wanting to ruin their relationship, they both kept quiet.

besides Hatcher was your only real friend.

now, in the contempt space of Jared’s bedroom where she laid across his whole bed and her head hung up side down- and him at his desk they both chatted.

“yeah. her lying is getting worse.” you spoke, almost bordley about Emiko’s situation. “like. there’s a difference between her lying and i don’t know… like when hatcher told that story about joey cubit.”

Jared paused, remembering the small conversation they had all had about Joey. Joey had passed and called up Hatcher who then pretended to barley know the boy and made a whole story on one encounter they’d briefly had. “wait he was lying..?”

he had to admit he remembered it and did find it strange how he pretended not to know one of his friends, but Jared didn’t keep tabs on anyone but her.

though unbeknownst to Jared, Hatcher had only lied to spare your feelings, knowing you struggled to make friends so he acted like you were his only one too.
