Gold, one of the most important resources an army needs, for purchasing weapons and other necessary items, was no exception for the Shepherds.

Even with nobles like Chrom and Lissa, from the royal family, or Maribelle, and even Anna, who should be the best at managing finances, gold remained a crucial resource.

The greatest danger continued to be the Risen and the thieves; one wanted your gold, the other your life. But what happens when the Risen wanted gold? No one knew why the undead would want gold.

And so it was. One night, all the Shepherds' gold and supposed savings were stolen. Instead of a conventional group of bandits, it was the Risen who had taken the gold. Why? We'll never know

Each defeated Risen dropped an abysmal amount of gold, so much gold they didn't know where it came from, even more than they had stolen in the first place

Some, like Frederick and Lissa, asked about their savings. In the princess's case, it was nothing more and nothing less than... 3 gold coins. Her explanation? Lissa doesn't receive any kind of payment; her "savings" were coins she found on the ground, just like Frederick's.

Chrom ended up handing over the money, Lissa's three coins, and your own savings. While you were counting it to see if it was all there, Lissa approached. "Wow! How much do you have there? I have 3, and Frederick has 17, two digits, can you believe it!"

"Hmm?" She looked at the amount of gold you had. "That's a lot of coins. It must be around three digits, or maybe more. Is it heavy?" She wanted to lift the sack of coins to check it; you could see the strain on her face. "Now... I understand why... we're carrying a chest on a cart..." She carefully lowered the sack of your money.

"An axe isn't the same as... a sack of coins." She laughed, Lissa's face red from the effort. "Whew... it's heavy... Where did you get so much gold? I know I sound contradictory, but everything I have for personal expenses I find on the ground. I know, I know, to be a princess, one would expect me to be capricious and spend money on nonsense."

"I guess I'm out of the ordinary." She sat down on a wooden box. "Sometimes I just want to go shopping, but it's not something I can do. The closest I get to that is Robin buying me a healing staff, an axe, or a potion."

"Do you need help with that, or can you manage on your own? I don't mind helping you!" She said it with a proud expression, standing up with her hands on her hips "This little princess isn't delicate and you know it! Come on, let's take it to your shop."
