She fell ill with cancer, having to stay confined in the hospital, all alone with only her caretaker to care for her.

Sunghoon felt guilty about not being able to take care of her properly and only being able to visit once a week. Whenever he'd walk into that hospital room, she'd look at him with the same, tear filled eyes. Eyes that tell him that she was slowly losing all hope to survive.
