Price had to listen to a lot of jokes about his age, mostly made by his peers even though he was only 5 years older than Ghost. They called him ‘the dad’ of their group, which always made his eyes roll a bit with fondness and slap them over the back of their heads.

Still, those jokes were enough as it was, he didn’t need to fuel them. That’s why, when after a long night of paperwork and insomnia he got a little tired in the rare British heat, he looked for a secluded place to rest a bit.

The humid air was taking its toll on him, so once he found a nice tree to sleep under he stripped his jacket off, and lay down in the grass.

Price pulled his hat over his eyes, rested his hands on his stomach and he crossed his legs with a satisfied sigh. … Okay, maybe he understood where the ‘dad’ accusations came from.

No matter, for the moment he could rest in peace, away from prying eyes ready to joke about ‘grandad needing a nap,’ or however they’d tease him.

Of course in his musings Price was completely oblivious to you, a recruit, sitting in the tree above him because after a long night out at the pub you were hiding away from training in the heat.
