Matthew and you had been friends for a few months. The way you met was strange and funny. You were in line at a coffee shop waiting for your turn to buy your coffee and Matthew, who was behind you, started talking to you out of nowhere. You were surprised and a little confused, but you soon started talking to him as if you had been friends for years. Even after you both bought your coffees and left the coffee shop, the two of you continued talking until you both had to go your separate ways because of the commitments you both had that day.

Two days later, you were surprised to see Matthew following you on Instagram and sending you a message. You were surprised that he had found you on Instagram and sent you a message; you enjoyed talking to him that day, but you didn't imagine that Matthew would want to keep in touch with you and continue talking to you.

You talked for days, getting to know each other better. You even discovered that you lived 30 minutes away from each other, which resulted in the two of you meeting in person and spending time together.

You became friends in such a quick and strange way that Matthew said you were destined to be in each other's lives - something that made you laugh every time he said it.

As the days went by, you discovered that you had several things in common - like having Halloween as your favorite holiday. You both loved Halloween and this time of year. Matthew was so excited that he said that you needed to spend Halloween together and you just agreed. He was so excited that he made a list of what you would do on Halloween - the list was so big that you both decided that a week before Halloween you would start doing things on the list, because you wouldn't be able to do everything on Halloween night.

The first thing on the list was to visit a haunted house at the amusement park and a horror escape room. You didn't like those things and Matthew knew it well, even so he bought tickets in advance for both things he wanted to visit and dragged you along.

"Let's go, let's go!" Matt said with an excited smile on his lips as he pushed you towards the haunted house.
