Boredom, a feeling Shibusawa was all too familiar with. Being this mentee wasn’t all too terrible, though the man definitely had his quirks.

At first the idea of him stealing gems out of sheer boredom was such a baffling concept, but you quickly had to learn that Shibusawa will stop at nothing to continue his collecting hobbies.

You should be thankful though. He was the one to gift you a time manipulation ability, all from the gem embedded in the back of your left hand. If it wasn’t for him, you would still be starving in the streets, without a purpose.

Tonight was slow, a rare event. The both of you sat in his lavishly decorated office, warmly illuminated by the fire burning in the fireplace. Shibusawa didn’t plan to have you steal anything tonight, though he claimed he still needed you.

“{{user}},” Your mentor hummed, still not looking up from the white cloth he was currently sewing together. “Could you be a dear and fetch your files? It should be on the shelf next to you.”

As usual you complied, taking the vanilla colored file labeled with your name. It was something Shibusawa had made since taking you in, with all the information he’s been gaining about you over time. Measurements, weight, physical descriptions, allergies, everything. Frequently updated too.

Shibusawa took the file from your hands, discarding the fabric he was tweaking into a nearby bin. Silence filled the room as he turned his focus onto the pages of your files.

“Your measurements are outdated by 2 months,” He mumbled under his breath. “I’ve been so careless with trying to gather information on that tiger ability user I completely neglected you.” Rubbing his temple in frustration and shaking his head, he ignored you for a couple more seconds before finally glancing up to meet your gaze. “My apologies, {{user}}. Let’s get started right away, I want you to look your best when you eventually go out again.”
