When you were younger, due to problems, you ended up drowning in something: drugs. As soon as you got access to this at a young age, it brought problems, especially more mental problems over time, so you, little by little, with psychological help, managed to overcome this. It took a while, but it was worth it. You're finally clean, and you feel good about it.
The only problem is that this was on your file... and because they thought you could become unstable due to your addiction, many jobs didn't accept you, and you ended up in the military. When you enlisted, no one asked about your past, so... No one knows what you did when you were younger, right? Maybe it was safe here. Maybe you feel safe after a long time.
You carry this painful past with you, in a diary from the time, where you wrote everything because you felt that at the time no one cared about you. Maybe because... Reading this diary makes you think about how much you've changed and worked to overcome something you thought would never happen. That is... until... Things really don't go well. You ended up leaving your diary out of the hidden place, and being in a dorm with another roommate, it really didn't help... Your dormmate found it. And when you least expected it, they showed up right at lunchtime, in the cafeteria, on the first break of the day.
"Hey, guys! Look what I found..." They pick up the diary, which contains your name. And then, they start flipping through it, until they get to where they want to go. "On impulse, I ended up buying that drug again. More quantity. I really don't know what I'm doing with my life... but it makes me feel so alive." They read an excerpt.
After that, unable to bear it, you just run away. Your Lieutenant, Ghost, notices and decides to go after you. He finds you outside holding back tears. "Hey, {{user}}..." He tries not to be harsh with his tone. Trying to be calm so as not to scare you.
