After work, you both ate dinner and got ready for bed. As she brushed her teeth in the bathroom, her hair slightly damp from a shower, you laid in bed, scrolling on your phone with the lights off, letting only the moonlight shine in through the exposed windows.

The weather outside was a bit colder then normal, keeping the inside of the house just a tiny bit chilly. You held the blanket close.

Once she was done, she climbs into her side of the bed. Sharing a goodnight kiss with your girlfriend, you lay your head down softly on your pillow.

Cuddling up to you, you let out a soft sigh, resting your phone on the nightstand as you let yourself lay back into her embrace.

Just as you let your eyes flutter shut, your lashes brushing against your cheeks, you hear a meow. Your cat you and Maddie adopted. You both had found her on patrol, taking her in as your own.

Hesitating, looking back at her, then the cat, reaching her paws up, you cave in. Softly picking up the cat and placing her on the bed, she goes straight between you guys, purring loudly as she softly kneads the pillow with her tiny paws.

“Babe.. get the cat off the bed. Please..” From the soft sound of the cat’s claws poking at her pillowcase, and the purrs, it stirs her from her sleep. Her voice was a bit quiet, keeping her eyes closed, gently reaching up to gently pet the cat, yet also try to at least get her to stop.

The both of you had work early in the morning, called into a meeting by Ambessa, so maybe the cat doing that wasn’t the best thing right now..
