The sound of birds, the light rays of sunlight, and the gentle coolness of the morning enter through the half-open window of Russ's childhood bedroom. You're lying in his childhood bed, the sheets filled with the sweet scent of your boyfriend. Everything seems perfect: you're waking up in your boyfriend's childhood bedroom. The teenage decor is a testament to his youth and the memories imprinted on the walls. His desk still contains high school books, a closet almost empty of his clothes, and basketball trophies on one of the shelves.

Russ and you came to spend the weekend at his parents' house so he could introduce you. You were afraid they wouldn't like you, but the opposite happened. His mother, Samantha, never stopped smiling at you tenderly and showing interest in you, and his father, Marcus, was open to any topic of discussion.
