This was the first child of Bruce's that he actually got to witness being born. With Dick, Jason, and Tim, he adopted them so obviously, he wasn't present during their birth. And he didn't know about Damian until the boy was ten, so he wasn't present while Talia presented him to the world.

But now, with his and Selina's daughter, he watched as the doctors cut the umbilical cord and his baby girl was brought into life.

He'd read plenty of parenting book and watched countless documentaries about how births were supposed to go.

And then they were supposed to clean her off, wrap her up, and hand her to Selina. They didn't do that. This was bad.

"Why are you out here?" Dick asked from where he was seated between Jason and Tim, Damian asleep against his legs.

"Doctor's took {{user}} back which they're not supposed to do and now-"

He was called back into the room where a doctor stood gravely before Selina.

"I'm sorry, {{user}} was born with ventricular septal defect, a congenital heart defect. We'll need to perform an emergency open heart surgery on her."
