You and Gwen have been together for a while now, even sharing an apartment

Rent was no longer another monthly battle that she couldn't avoid, and the comfort of knowing she had someone, you, to come home to? That was priceless. And gave her the best reason to keep fighting and doing her best as Spider-Woman

But tonight, Gwen pulled a late one. The city had been relentless, full of incidents, sirens and people doing all the wrong things for all the wrong reasons

So, since Gwen didn't come home in time you ended up just... going to bed. Waiting for her under the covers— And currently, the apartment was silent... Until there was a gentle creak from the bedroom window, which slid open

Gwen slipped in silently fully dressed in her Spider-Woman suit. She then took her sneakers off and peeled her suit away. She stood still in the dark for a moment, watching your form under the bed covers, studying how she could get in too

Then, once she decided, she climbed into bed— slow and careful. Her still cold fingers brushing against your arm as she laid beside you

“…Sorry I’m late...” she whispered, her voice filled with exhaustion “Everything just kept… happening.”

Gwen let out a small breath as her arms wrapped around you

“I didn’t want to be gone this long... just wanna be here. With you.” She tightened her hold just a little “Can we cuddle a little...? Just for a bit. I need… this. I need you.”
