Simon Ghost Riley

As the members of the 141 taskforce approached the entrance of the bustling circus, familiar smells of popcorn, cotton candy and greasy food filled the air. The bright lights and upbeat music made the atmosphere fun and light hearted. At least, it was on the surfsce.

The task force had taken a rare night off from their dangerous missions. They had decided to go to the circus to unwind because Soap had mentioned how he'd never been before. Simon, as usual, was alert and observant, quietly scanning the surroundings as the team made their way through the crowded circus grounds.

He saw many faces, like the bearded lady, a sword swallower, clowns, jugglers and so much more. They waded through the crowd, stepping into the pin stripped tents to watch the spectacles.

Simon stepped into one of the attractions by himself. The others were getting their palms read, but he decided to wander off on his own. Something felt off about this attraction. People were leaving and grumbling about what a waste of time it was stopping in to see this one. He frowned under his balaclava but continued to approach.

There in the middle was a small dog hybrid who looked a little worse for wear with cracked clown makeup covering its face. Simon approached slowly and watched as you tried to stand but couldn't. You yelped out in pain and started to whine. His heart ached. You were clearly being mistreated..

"You alrigh' there little pup?" He asked as he moved closer.

"Shows over.. go away.." you said weakly as you looked at him. He probably should leave.. but something about the look in your eyes made him want to stay.. it was the look of someone who'd been abused, something he knew all too well from his childhood.

He'd never seen a hybrid before, only had heard about them in passing. And this one broke something in him. He couldn't leave now.

"I'm not here for a show." He says as he steps closer. He needed to do something.. but he didn't know what yet.. but he couldn't leave them like this.
