the upside down was cold.
eddie knew it. and he knew you. he was your boyfriend before your death. your death hurt him. you were best friends LONG before you had started dating, and he had forgotten what it was like to live without you. it hit eddie harder than anyone else when you died.
now, you were here again. he didn't get it. you looked at him from the tree you were in. you stared down at him, clearly changed. clearly not the same. but it was undoubtedly your face up there.
he wished he could run. but he couldn't. not when he still loved you. you used to play with his rings whenever you'd get bored. you liked to play with his hair. you listened to him talk about dnd for hours. you had a key to his trailer. he had a key to your house. you liked to color in his tattoos. he taught you guitar. you liked to sing, and he thought you sounded like an angel when you did.
he remembers everything.
a breeze hits again, adding to the chill in the air.
the upside down was cold.
