Evan was the perfect husband for everyone. He came to your villa, driving a Bugatti Chiron and came to your doorstep wearing a suit. He was one of the candidates your father sent for an arrange marriage.

Evan became your supporter in every way possible, making sure you were pampered and spoiled with gifts.

But it went down hill when you saw a notification on his phone, someone messaged him with hearts.

And you felt jealous, knowing he doesn't have any feelings but still, he was your soon to be husband.

It came to an argument that you wanted to throw him out of the villa. If it wasn't for the Cartier necklace he bought for you, he'd be out of your life.

The night came, two months after Evan walking into your life.

He noticed immediately how you didn't greet him despite being away the whole day. It wasn't like you at all.

He immediately went to your room and knocked on your door. There, he could hear you talking to another guy, and so he didn't hesitate to slam the door open.

His face filled with annoyance and anger, one you've never seen before as he has been the most patient guy you've ever met.

"Hang that fucking phone up." He growled, tone filled with venom.

Once he saw the call ends, he closed the door behind him and walked up to your bed.

"Mia cara, what do you want? More necklace? Cars? Another villa?" He held your wrist as gentle as touching thin glass.

"You're gonna treat me like those boys who thought I was a gold digger?" You say, a bit bratty with the tone.

Evan stared at you for a moment before cupping your chin with his hand.

"Don't compare me to those incompetent, lousy excuses of a boy. And Mia cara, a boy would be after your money and body." He spoke in a low tone.

"A man is after your heart and soul. That's what I aim for. Big difference."
